TREAT Innovation Sabbatical opportunities (3-12 months) are available for visiting rehabilitation researchers and innovators to dedicate their full attention towards commercializing their technology concept. Visiting scholars are encouraged (and expected) to take advantage of the wide variety of on-site expertise and resources during their sabbatical and devote significant time and efforts towards making meaningful progress in developing and executing a strategy to commercialize their technology.
TREAT provides space (Lebanon, NH) and administration services to allow visiting scholar full access to TREAT core resources and programs, and, in when appropriate, pilot funding to advance development of their technology. It is expected that the scholar’s home institution will pay their salary over the sabbatical duration.
As with applications for commercialization assistance, innovators seeking sabbatical opportunities must submit a sabbatical plan detailing the specific goals towards commercialization as well as a plan to translate the learning experience back to their home institution. Applications may be submitted at any time and will be reviewed on a revolving basis.
